Short
Term Courses
General
With
the fast developing Science and Technology any one working in
any area needs to update his/her knowledge from time to time
to cope up with the new trends. This is applicable to the persons
working in power industry also. The National Training Policy
for power sector envisages that every one working in the power
industry should have atleast one week of training every year.
To
fulfill this desire NPIT (SR), Neyveli has designed more than
50 Short Term Courses of duration ranging from 1 to 3 weeks for
in service personnel. These programs cover a very vast area of
subjects deep to micro level in Generation, Transmission and
Distribution. Each program is designed to refresh the knowledge
base of the persons working in the respective areas.
The
institute’s core faculty along with serving experts invited
from the concerned field conducts these programs to blend the
theory with practice. These programs also provide the platform
for interaction among the participants on practices followed
in their respective plants and discuss case studies.
These
programs are conducted for Engineers as well as for Supervisors/Technicians.
More importance is given for Practical Training in Technicians
Programs to enhance their skills.
