How to reach Neyveli?

NPTI(SR) is located at Neyveli in Cuddalore District of Tamil Nadu. Neyveli is the Power Centre of Tamil Nadu. Neyveli is about 200 Kms. South West of Chennai the capital of Tamil Nadu. Neyveli is easily accessible both by road and Rail. Neyveli is located just off the Chennai – Kumbakonam National Highway. Regular Buses are available from almost all parts of Tamil Nadu as well from nearby States. Neyveli is about 30 Kms. from the Vriddhachalam Railway Station situated on the Chennai – Trichirappalli railway line. The nearest international Airport is Chennai.

To reach Neyveli from Chennai:

BY ROAD: One can take a bus from Chennai’s Central Moffusal Bus Terminal (CMBT) to reach Neyveli. Frequent bus services (Route No.199,146 of TNSTC and other services) are available and the journey time will be around 4.30 hours.

BY TRAIN: For going to Neyveli from Chennai by train, one can take a train bound for Trichirappalli from Madras Egmore Station and alight at Vriddachalam Junction. From Vriddhachalam, Neyveli can be reached on Road by Bus or other means.

Location - NPTI-SR Campus:

NPTI (SR) campus is situated in Block-14 of Neyveli Township. The campus spreads over on area of about 50 acres. It is a mini township with in the township having all facilities. The campus is about 6 Kms. from the Central Bus Stand of Neyveli Township and about 10 Kms from Neyveli Railway Station. Auto Rickshaws are available from the CBS to reach the Campus. NPTI (SR) Campus is adjacent to the Jawahar Science College in Neyveli. The campus is about 2 Kms from the Main shopping arcade of Neyveli township.

NPTI (SR) campus houses the Institute, Workshop and Laboratories, Hostels, Guest House, Dispensary, Recreation Centre, Residential Quarters for employees, Service Buildings etc.
